ABOUT JBSE SPECIALISED ENGINEERING
JB Specialised Engineering also designs and manufactures a wide range of related products including filters, strainers and specialty pressure vessels. JBSE engineers and fully qualified tradesmen have many decades experience in expansion joint and pressure vessel fabrication.
Customers include all the major end–users and EPC contractors in the oil and gas, power generation, and minerals processing industries. Jord Bellows is certified to ISO 9001. All expansion joints are designed to the EJMA standard. All vessels are manufactured to the highest local and international engineering standards – AS 1210 or ASME.

The JBSE engineering team consists of only qualified engineers & tradesmen with many decades’ experience in expansion joint and pressure vessel design & fabrication. Weld procedures developed and refined over many years cover most exotic alloys.

Steve FrancisDirector
Steve started with JBSE originally as an office manager in 1991 and quickly developed a passion and drive for the business. With his can do attitude he was promoted to General Manager within two years.
When an opportunity arose in 2016 to take over the business Steve didn’t hesitate to make the most of it and switch to owner operator. It’s difficult for Steve to say no to challenges with his favourite quote being ““It always seems impossible until it’s done”. An astute high performer, when not at work Steve can be found working on his personal development and doing some laps at the local swimming pool.
Charles NasrGeneral Manager
Charles has been with JBSE since 1998 and brought with him many years of management experience in the engineering & manufacturing industry. He quickly re-shaped processes to create efficiencies as well as built a go getter attitude amongst the team to deliver the best for our customers.
Charles is continually looking to deliver the leading practices in the industry and is continually staying current with the market with his broad local and international network. Outside of work Charles will be making the most of time with the family and share investment portfolio.
Darren HowardQuality Manager
Our leading man to quality inspect any project before it goes out the door. Darren has been in the industry for over 35 years and we’ve been lucky to have him for 31 with JBSE.
Darren has extensive experience and qualifications in Welding, Metal Fabrication, Boilermaking, Quality Assurance & Control and Welding Supervision. You can be sure that anything that comes into our production process is overseen by Darren and meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. When not in the workshop Darren can be found catching the latest on the NRL or hitting up some of his refurbished pinball machines.
